Maybe calling paper butterflies art is not entirely accurate. I have seen similar pictures of butterfly stuff on Pintrest, figured it was time for me to give it a go. For our daughter who thinks she is Tinkerbell, I decided to make a big girl butterfly mobile for her fairy bedroom. After digging in my craft closet I soon realized I didn’t have any construction paper to make the butterflies out of. Enter, Spring Lake Store just down the road. In the store the owner, Dee, has a corner of books that are free for the taking. A visit to her corner and I found a couple of books that were duplicated in her corner. Now, I hate to wreck books, but when cutting corners you do what you have to do. I was also able to recycle or upcycle another grate from the gym lighting as the frame for the mobile. The pictures below are the end result of the project and for the record, Little Miss Tink is very happy.
