I was able to mop, and wax the entire house floors all while the kids around around me. I had tiny footprints, and Fang paws on the first run through, because, they ran through. I tossed the dog on the porch, and almost jammed the kids in the crack of the couch to stop the prints. Instead I sent them all outside to play which at the time I thought was brilliant. I, however, did not consider that at some point they would come in with red clay packed shoes, and dirt stuck to their butts. Let’s just say I met them at the door with the vacuum, and wand attachments on ready to suck. Today while finishing cleaning the trim the kids spent their time in socks floor skating and we only had one busted lip all day. Hey those are pretty good odds for this family.
All I have left to pack is the bedding for all the kids and the small/everyday items. I also need more boxes to put all those little things in so it looks like I will have to hit Walmart and plead for boxes. The way I figure it our money from the house should clear Tuesday. come Wednesday I will have move like a fart in the wind. Here one minute and gone the next will be the name of the game. I finally did get the exact mailing address for the new house. That will come in very handy as I am ordering a cubic butt load of furniture to be delivered. The Realtor spoke with me yesterday to let me know that the board will meet to designate one person to sign off on the sale. Your really wondering now what kind of house this is I bet huh? Have to stay tuned to find out what I have in store for you all π Next Wednesday will also be a huge day holding a huge surprise. An item is coming mid week next week that will make the up coming road trip VERY interesting. Tasha our older dog, knows something is going on so she has taken to laying at the doors. Silly doggie thinks she will be forgotten and left behind. She was THE BEST pregnancy pillow in the entire WORLD! Tasha was comfy curled around my belly feeling the babies kick and was soft plus super, mega warm. Ok so I am not having anymore babies, because I think that at 7 kids I have more than made up for the lack of participation my parents gave…but she is still a great snuggler and awesome bed warmer π Next week I will need to make an appointment for the two dogs to go get groomed.
Doggie grooming day is around the corner. Tasha will be a breeze for them she will just lay there and roll over when needed. Old girl is all about the “pamper me” days. Fang on the other hand, well he is like trying to harness a tornado. Not that he is nippy but he is a ball of energy and will see the poor girl as his personal play thing. Halfway through a bath he will put on his sad eyes and even shed a tear while he whines to be free. The moment you lift the pressure of your hand he is gone like a shot from a gun!
On a happier note seems mother nature has saw fit that the road trip ahead with a bunch of kids, 2 dogs, and hundreds of miles in front of us was not enough of a task. There are bad storms brewing in the north, and my womanly friend is stretching her legs to settle in for the road trip….ah living the dream π
