Projects & Recipes
Well we finished another recycling project last night. Yet again a second hand store deal I couldn’t pass up. I bought a bag full of sweaters for a buck totaling out to be about 8.5 cents each since there were 12 sweaters in the bag. So I came up with and idea. The smoke started puffing out of my ears, an eyebrow arched and then I stated “I can do that”! Pulled out my scissors and whack, hacked away. Sat down at my trusty sewing machine and zing off I went.
First I hacked off the sleeves of the poor, defenseless sweater.
A few inches up from the sleeve cuff I cut a curve, slightly larger than Isabelle’s foot. Threw it in the sewing machine and stitched around the curve.
We quickly made some little pom-poms from left over (recycle recycle) yarn of her color choice. Tied them on to the tops and Whamo-Puffda she has super warm sweater slipper socks.
Check back to see what happen to what was left of the sweater. I have a full body left to play with and you know me…I have some ideas 😉
