Adventures Of Orthos
I am a worthless dog now. The other day I was opening a door by bouncing off of it, and I hurt my left front leg and shoulder. The gym doors are heavy I’ll have you know. Bouncing off of them is the only way I can open them from the inside. See, mom needs to put handles on the doors, the outside has them and I can just grab those with my teeth and pull the door open. At any rate, I am now walking with a limp and running is PAINFUL. Which means, I have been staying in the yard. I still limp back and check on the chickens, but then I come back to the front yard and into the house. Pathetic. You would think my year old body would hold up better to a 100 pound door.
This is day 4 of the limp. After day one I was feeling better. Day one I laid my head in my mom’s lap whining and she massaged my arm and shoulder. After she checked me out to make sure I hadn’t been shot by a hunter. She worries too much. By the way she and dad found my deer skull, in the YARD! That is not where I left it I swear. I bet Shayla took it out of the woods and dropped it there. To all you city dogs out there, deer meat is yummy! Anyway the next morning after the massage I felt way better, and I bounced off the doors again and slipped on the floor. Hurt myself all over again, dummy head.
For now I guess I am stuck limping around the front yard watching the other puppies run around playing. On the up side, winter is here and the snow is falling. I love the snow, it’s so cold and feels so good on hot fur. I’m sure my leg will be better by then and the inner polar puppy will rise up.
