Everyday Daily Dose of Reality
It has been 41 days since Macgyver and I have stopped smoking. Rough estimate of how much money we have saved with both of us combined is $512.50. You kind of have to be careful when you quit smoking that you don’t pick up another vise to replace the lack of smoking. Macgyver seems to be fine, and has not picked up anything new. I, on the other hand am not doing so good.
With a large family I am always baking and cooking. Now that I am not smoking, I am in mega kitchen domination phase. Although I spend almost the entire day in the kitchen, flipping, kneading, tempering, stirring, glazing, dipping and BBQ’ing, I am not eating much of what I make. Pretty much a bite here and there, then the normal meal is all. The family on the other hand is in their glory. I am considering making myself some aprons, I really need some anyway. There is an embroidery button on my sewing machine, I could just add the words “Taste of Talmoon” across the front of my aprons. The family keeps teasing me, saying I should open a restaurant or bakery. Completely hooked on cooking, and baking pretty much nonstop. Things could be worse right? At least I’m not smoking.
