Yep, my brain has finally gone over the rainbow and I met the Tin Man. In our neck of the woods we recycle, which means I have three big boxes in my freezer room. One for paper, plastic and cans, somehow the cans always seem to fill up the fastest. When it is over flowing I send the bigger kids to crush them flat. Gives them a chance to take some aggressions flattening something.
Recently I have been getting ready for spring and I can tell you there is a lot going on here this year. As I was going through some of the plastics to use them for other things around the house, I noticed the can box was full. Our son was not feeling up to par and he is the driving force behind can flattening. I had to come up with something else and the little folks were driving me bonkers. Our deranged Tinkerbell was sporting a black eye thanks to Minnie mouse and her wildly swinging her LaLaloopsy doll the other night. I had to find something to keep the younger girls busy and Sierra was on the cusp of a new broadway-dramusical. I quickly dug through the can box, piled the kitchen island high with tin and grabbed the twine.
6 soup can, 1 large coffee can, 3 mushroom cans and 1 large crushed tomatoes can later this is what I had. I still need 2 tuna cans for his feet, but in due time a child will ask for a tuna sandwich.
