Everyday dose of Reality
As a parent you raise your children day in and day out. You tend to get glimpses of them far off in the future and then you come back to the age they currently are. Our last child, the baby, turns 4 years old today. It is an old feeling and although I don’t know what it is like with just a few children, I do know that with a large family “the baby” makes you feel that you are at the end of an era. Could be that after having babies for so long now that I look around there are none left. I remember not long ago I had three in diapers at the same time and I longed for the day we were diaper free. All the times of who flung poo and potty training one after another, most parents crack and lose their mind during that time. Now she is riding a bike, dancing around with an Ipad singing all the words to Kelly Clarkston’s Stronger.
Happy Birthday Minnie Mouse, and my little Minnie Me. The time flies so fast and so far it has been a hell of a ride, I can’t wait to see what the next four years bring as memories.
