Yesterday while trying to find some new ideas for muffin mixes and more homemade cleaning products, I ran into this method for the microwave. I found it on several sites, all how to or how to clean sites. I decided to give it a try. This is not rocket science people but I of all people know what it is like to clean a microwave after a child has exploded food in it. I have to tell you, this little trick…saves you time, HUGE! Some of you may already know this and shame on you for not telling me.
In a microwave safe bowl pour in 2 cups of water and 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Turn microwave on for 5 minutes. Once the timer goes off, take out the bowl and glass tray from the microwave, be careful those bugger are blazing. Now take a damp cloth and just wipe the inside. No power scrubbing needed, just wipe. The water steams everything so it is damp and the vinegar helps break down the food particles and such. I say such because I have found things in the microwave that I know for a fact never lived in the freezer or fridge. And POOF! Clean microwave.
