Everyone has layers of yuck on their hair. If you use products to shape, wash, style, treat or condition, you have yuck. Hell using just water leaves sediment on your hair. After a while you get a build up, much like a shower curtain or door. Then your hair feels heavy and most of the treatment products or home remedies you try to make the hair healthy, don’t work as well as they could. Instead of buying some small bottle or Red Out or whatnot, try something new. Get yourself a small spray bottle and fill it with white vinegar. When you get in the shower, grab the bottle and spray your dry hair until it is saturated. Yes you will smell like a enormous pickle, but it is OK. Well, it is OK as long as, your significant other is not in there with you trying to get romantic.
Now that your hair is wet with vinegar, let it set for 3 to 5 minutes. Then wash and condition as normal. Also, remember when you wash your hair use warm water but to rinse out conditioner use luke warm to cool. Hair is a lot like skin. Warm opens pores, and cool closes them. So condition after a warm rinse and to rinse out, use cool to lock in the nutrients of the conditioner. You really wont notice a difference until your hair is dry. Once it is dry you will notice how much softer and lighter in weight your hair is. Plus you save money on a gallon jug of vinegar as opposed to a small bottle of chemically made Red Out. Works like a charm and your next oil treatment on your hair will actually work like it is supposed to. Happy Pickling!
