Projects & Recipes
Treats for your kitty are just as easy to make as dog cookies. When I compared the two recipes, they are basically the same. Last week I was compelled to make the peanut butter dog treat for Orthos & Buck. They pulled out their best sad eyes, while I was putting away groceries and pulled out the peanut butter jar. This week Ms. LuLu Bugginsworth pulled out sad eyes once a can of tuna materialized.
What you will need:
2c. whole wheat flour
1c. regular flour
1/2 can of tuna in oil or chicken
1 large egg
Doing the deed:
Dump everything in the mixing bowl and mix to a dough ball is formed. You may find that a bit more milk will be needed, due to the amount of oil in your can of tuna that fluctuates. Once you have a ball then roll it out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut in strips and then again to make little bite size squares. Bake for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Her treat jar is full of tuna cookies and she is a happy little girl.
