That’s right it is peanut butter blossom time, just like Aunt Nancy used to make. Recently my cousin made some peanut butter cookies like his mum used to make. I of course razed him, “where the heck are the kisses”? Today the girls and I baked my Aunt Nancy’s peanut butter blossom cookies and sung the “fancy Aunt Nancy” song I made up well over 20 years ago.
If you do not have a regular peanut butter cookie recipe or are trying to watch your weight a little, I have the recipe for you.
Low fat Peanut butter cookies:
1c. peanut butter
1T. baking soda
Doing the deed:
First mix the peanut butter & sugar together. Next add your egg & baking soda. My suggestion is to use slightly more than a teaspoon size drop on the cookie sheet for each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Please allow the cookies to cool before removing from cookie sheet, otherwise they will crumble on you. A very yummy cookie with only 36 calories and passed my kids cookie test. With as little calories as this cookie has, I won’t tell you to not drizzle chocolate over them or add a chocolate kiss on top.
