Art with old cds is not as easy as you might think it would be. A few days ago I asked Macgyver to empty out all his old cds he could not use anymore. Remember, he owns a computer company. He gave me a stack of about 80 cds. For the past few days I have been arranging them on the kitchen counter, trying to come up with something I liked. I wanted something that was not going to be horrible and look ok on one of the walls in the living/ dining room/ gym. We desperately need some more light in that room and anything is better than nothing, until we get the rest of the skylights in place. After much thought I decided to recruit the man-child for ideas. This morning he brought to the kitchen his National Geographic books and we started digging. We stumbled onto some butterflies in the books. Next we started laying out cds in the shape of a butterfly. Once we had it where we liked it, out came the hot glue gun, gorilla tape & floral wire.
Sonia…that’s Beautiful! Good job. Nice to see how big Chase is now. I love following your emails. You are still hillarious! Love from Tom and Jeannette
Well Thanks Jeannette. If it was up to Chase it would have been a spider, but I can’t think of one time at all a 6 foot tall spider is a good thing 🙂
Absolutely lovely. I am sure I could not do it so will just admire it from afar and cheer you on!
Do you know Chris, I put that on a wall that was always hit by non stop sun. Since we put it up, the sun hasn’t hit that wall, even a single ray. Figures, but it still looks so cool.
