Homemade dishwasher soap Cubes

I already make a powder dishwasher soap, and I just realized I have never shared my dishwasher cubes with you all. They are easy and work great!
What you will need:
ice cube tray
1c. washing soda
1/4c. epsom salt
These are 4 or my 5 “go to kill anything” products.
Measure out all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix completely.
Have a second bowl and measure out 1 cup of the dry mixed ingredients at a time into the small bowl. Start with 4 tablespoons of lemon juice added to your small bowl. You are looking for a firm paste. I normally hit between 4 & 5 tablespoons, depending on the child helping me measure. Mix it up good and you will have a firm but sticky soap.
next dump the mix into the ice cube tray and press each one with your fingers. It’s like a sticky moon sand and will pack very well.
Flip carefully onto a plate/tray or cookie sheet and repeat until all your ingredients are gone. Let the cubes dry over night. You can store these in a bag or old plastic container. Next time you are ready to start the dishwasher, place a cube in the bottom of your washer and wait for the magic. These are great for super hard water and they also clean out the inside of the dishwasher. In your rinse compartment just fill it up with a rinse agent or white vinegar. Happy penny-pinching and washing!
