Projects & recipes
A few weeks ago I made this planter from an old board & large tuna cans. I had two colors of spray paint, red and white. First I painted the board white, then I took an old coffee can and held it on the board while I painted it all red. After, I removed the can, crumpled up news paper and rolled it over the top of the wet paint. Grabbed a twig I had left over from another project that was painted black. I mounted the twig on the side with wire and then stuck sand on the bottom of the board while the paint was wet. I also used up the last bit I had of some brown texture paint on the bottom. Sprayed some cleaned out large tuna cans red and had Macgyver screw them into the board. I used to live in Arizona years ago and it kinda of reminded me of the desert sunset in the fall, so I just had to plant cactus in the planter. Today while at Home Depot I hit it big on an aloe plant and then saw the mini cactus was marked down 50% too. Turns out my tuna planter is the perfect size & looks very nice in my laundry room wall.
